General elections, must be registered under 1 party, start to get delegates.

What is the Democratic party?
similar to the Federalists, pro-slavery, supports a larger government (centralized front), social services (has a tendency to raise taxes), and progressive social policies.
What is the Republican party?
anti-federalists, they were against slavery, abolitionist, support smaller governments, lower taxes, and conservative social policies.
What are the needed requirements to become Pres?
35 years old, born in the US or has US parents
What aren’t the requirements for running for President?
Political experience, education level, and military service
What happens in Presidental Conventions?
Pres. candidates accept nomination, VP accepts nomination, and delegates get behind the Ticket (Pres and VP)
What are Presidential Debates?
Pres. and VP present their platforms.
