The system of power which the legal courts are set at
Jurisdiction
The official power to make legal decisions and judgements
Solicitor
A representative or defendant of a client, who can also give advice to them.
Barrister
A lawyer who has been called to the bar and is qualified to plead in higher courts
Prosecutor
A person, especially a public official who institutes legal proceedings against someone
Accused
A person or group who are charged or on trial for a crime
Defendant
An individual or an organisation who are accused on of a crime in a court trial
Call to Bar
A legal term which means when a person who is qualified Is allows to get called to the court to defend a party
Verdict
A judgement in a legal case
Adversarial
The characteristics of two or more sides who oppose each other
Parties
A party is an individual or group of individuals that work together to win a case
Contract Law
an agreement by multiple parties creating mutual obligations which is enforceable by law
Defamation
The communication of a false statement that will deal damage to their good reputation
