Note: lui and leur are placed after le, la, les.
Examples: Je le lui donne. I it her give (the book). Je la leur prend. I it took from them (the apple).
Note: When you use me, te, nous or vous, they come before le, la and les.
Examples: Je te le donne. I you it gave. Ils vous les offrent. They offer them (the things) to you. Vous me les prêtez. You lend them to me. (prêter - to lend)
Past tense:
Je te l’ai donné.
Je le lui ai donné. - Wow.

Remember that en means “some” as in J’en ai - I have some. To specify how much you have, add a quantity after the verb.

French has several expressions with avoir:
Tu as l’air malade.
J’ai envie de regarder la télé.
Il a honte de son ami.
You look sick.
I want to watch TV.
He is ashamed of his friend.
To make a question with avoir about an il or elle, you’ll say a-t-il or a-t-elle.
Does she have an umbrella?
Does he have a problem?
Why is he ashamed?
A-t-elle un parapluie?
A-t-il un problème?
Pourquoi a-t-il honte?
To say that you are starting to do something, use ……… plus………..
Use commencer à plus an infinitive.
Exs: Elle commencent à manger.
Il commence à pleuvoir.
His habits are really bad.
Ses habitudes sont vraiment mauvaises.
They look good.
Ils ont l’air en forme.
