Coherence Truth Test
The truth that “fits” with what we know about reality already.
Eg: you didn’t see the rain but the ground is wet so you can logically infer that “it rained” is a true statement
Consensus Truth Test
A way of ascertaining the truth, basically the truth that the majority says it is
Eg: “The earth is a sphere” is a true statement because that’s what most people believe
Correspondence Truth Test
A way of ascertaining the truth that corresponds with our sense perception.
Eg: You can say that ‘The apple is red’ is a true statement, because it corresponds with what your eyes are telling you.
First Order Knowledge Question
A question about something specific that a straightforward answer.
Eg: ‘What is the capital of France?’
Gettier’s challenge to Plato
It could be possible for someone to have a justified true belief accidentally. In which case, is that still knowledge?

Example: If “God is present” is beneficial to you as a person then for you it’s true
