human person
We are made in God’s image and likeness, everyone is unique, with male or female, body and soul
Incarnation
Incarnation refers to Jesus, who is fully God, becoming fully man. The Son became man to reveal the t0ruth of our humanity.
saint
someone who has lived a holy life, practiced strong virture and loved God above all. The Church canonizes Saints.
Theology of the Body
On Wednesdays from 1979-1984, JP2 talked about the human body and explained how we are all equal.
sin
a choice to disobey God. Sin is a failure to God, others and us
in his image and likeness
human persons are created to reflect the love of the Trinity.

In Edan, God created 2 people to liev his plan of happiness and designed them to love.
free will
we were made with the ability to choose. God wanted us to love him in our own choice
Original Sin
refers to Adam and Eve’s first sin which effects all of us today. Original Sin is the loss of God’s Grace.
concupiscence
the tendency to desire to sin
Satan
the angel who rejected God and became the enemy of Love.
body language
Gestures and expressions that communicate inner thoughts and feelings.
language of the body
the human body makes visible what is invisible. It speaks about our human nature, destiny and purpose.
Resurrection
After Jesus died, he rose from the dead to indicate He had power over life and death.
Ascension
After the Resurrection, He went up body and soul into Heaven.

Jesus gives himself body and soul to us in the appearance of wine and bread
