Vertical line test
It’s a vertical line passes to know more then one point in the graph of relation, then the relation is a function.
Ordered Pair
Ordered pair: A set of numbers or coordinates used to locate any point on a coordinate plane written in the form (x,y)
Origins
Origins: A point where the two axis’ intersect at it and they are zero points
Range
Range: The set of second numbers of ordered pairs in a relation
Function
Function: A relation in which each element of the domain it’s paired with exactly one element of the range

Domain: The set of the first numbers of the pairs in relation

Intercept: Points where a graph intersects at an axis
Coordinate System
Coordinate system: The great formed by the intersection of two number lines the horizontal axis and the vertical axis
Mapping
Mapping: Illustrates how each element of the domain is paired with an element in range

Relation: A set of ordered pairs
Order of Operations
Order of operations: evaluate expression inside grouping symbols. Evaluate all powers. Do all multiplication and/or divisions from left to right. Do all positive and or negative from left to right
Exponent
Exponent: in an expression of the form X to the N power (x with a tiny n in the top right corner of it), The n. It indicates the number of times X is used as a factor.

Coefficient: the Numerical factor of the term

Reciprocal: The multiplicative inverse of a number

Equation: a mathematical sentence that contains an equal sign, =

Like terms: terms that contain the same variables, with corresponding variables having the same exponent

Replacement set: a set of numbers from which a specific number for a variable may be chosen
Simplest Form
Simplest form: when an expression is replaced by an Equivalent expression having no like terms or parentheses
Algebraic Expression
Algebraic expression: an expression consisting of one or more numbers and variables along with one or more arithmetic operations
Solution
Solution: a replacement value for the variable in an open sentence

Term: a number, variable, product or quotient of numbers and variables

Variables: symbols used to represent unspecified numbers/values
Power
Power: an expression of The form X to the n power

Base: in an expression of the form X to the n power, the X
