Diasporas
The migration of religious or ethnic groups to foreign lands despite their continued affiliation with the land and customs of their origin
Ethnopolitical group
People whose identity is primarily defined by their sense of sharing a common ancestral nationality, language, cultural heritage, and kinship ties
Indigenous peoples

Types of war
Hegemonic war: war over control of the entire world order
Total war: warfare by one state waged to conquer and occupy another state (US & Iraq)
Limited war: goal of military action carried out to gain some objective (US driving out the Iraqis out of Kuwait)
Guerilla war: warfare without a front line (irregular forces often hidden or protected by civilians; indirectly harassing in punishing the enemy)
Interstate war
Sustained armed conflict between two or more sovereign states
