Designated areas in power point layouts that can be used to easily insert text, graphics, or multimedia objects
Place holders
A set of slides or handouts that contain information you want to convey to an audience
Presentation
Scenes of drawings used to illustrate the sequence of action or outline of a presentation
Story Board
Formatting feature that applies a background, colors, fonts, and effects to all slides in a presentation
Theme
The slide currently selected or displayed
Active slide
Printed copies of the presentation for the audience to refer to during and after the slide show
Handouts
Prearranged sets of placeholders for various types of slide content
Slide layout
The ratio of width to height on screen or other output device
Aspect ratio
An area at the bottom of a slide in which you can enter data, slide number or other information
Footer
An area at the top of slide in which you can enter a data or other information the repeats for each page
Header
A slide or printout is taller then it is wide
Landscape orientation
A slide is taller than it is wide
Portrait orientation

Properties
Remove a portion of a picture that you don’t want
Crop
Specify a percentage of original size to enlarge or reduce the size of an object
Scale
A tool that lets you copy text formatting from one text selection and apply it to any other text in the presentation
Format pointer
Power point features designed to reduce font size to fit text in the current place holder
Auto fit
A way of displaying the currents slide so that you can see how it will appear when printed on a black and white printer
Grayscale
The location or application in which you place an object that was originally In another location or application
Destination
The original location or application of an object you intent to place in another location or application
Source
A setting that controls the amount of time a slide displays on the screen
Advance slide timing
The visuals effects used when one slide moves off of the screen and another moves onto the screen
Transitions
Power point default view displays the slide pane and the thumbnail pane
