A legal document that gives authority to search your house or business for evidence

Causing the death of another person

The person making an accusation of discrimination
Slander
Saying something that makes someone look bad

Sentencing of minor crimes or first offences by allowing them to go but under supervision ( usually young offenders )
Alibi
A defence in which a person was somewhere other than the scene of the crime
Summons
An order for the accused to appear in court

Telling lies in a courtroom on purpose
Conciliation
Solving disputes in a friendly way
Reasonable grounds
Enough to lead a reasonable person to believe someone committed a crime

A trial held in different specific locations in its jurisdiction ( gypsy court )

Sending a person to another country usually to stand trial
Defamation
Saying false things intended to hurt a persons reputation
Entrapment
The act of “tricking” someone into committing a crime/offence
Tort
Harm to a person or property
Detention
Keeping someone in custody
Arrest
Depriving someone of liberty so that they may faces criminal charge
Bail
Property or money given as surety that a person released from custody will return at an appointed time
Libel
Written or recorded statement that damages a persons reputation
Liability
Legal responsibility from a wrongful action
Appellant
One who appeals a trials outcome to a higher court
Sentence
Sentence the judgement of a court after a criminal is convicted
Parole
Early release from prison with several conditions ( for more serious crimes and first offenders )
