to agree without protesting
e.g. When Mrs Taylor told her to be quiet, she acquiesced without hesitation.
alacrity (noun)
eagerness, speed
e.g. When Zia asked Jake to prom, he agreed with alacrity.
amiable (adjective)
friendly
e.g. Zia was an amiable character, and made friends wherever she went.
appease (verb)
to calm, satisfy
e.g. The toddler was screaming so it’s mother handed it a pretzel to appease it.
arcane (adjective)
obscure, secret, only known by a few
e.g. Latin is an arcane and difficult language to learn.
avarice (noun)
excessive greed
e.g. The girl stuffed the cake in her face with avarice.
