Detached (adj)
A detached house is not connected to any other building
Semi-detached (adj)
A house that is semi-detached is one that id joined to another similar house on only one side
Shed
A small building, usually made of wood, used for storing things
Terraced (adj)
Built as or belonging to row of often small houses joined together along their side walls
Chalet
A small wooden house found un mountain areas, especially in Switzerland, or a house built in a similar style, especially one used by people on holiday
Cabin
A small, simple house made of wood
Block of flats
A large building that is divided into apartments
Stately home
A large, impressive house of historical interest, especially one that the public may visit
Condo
Condominium
An apartment building or group of houses in which each flat/house is owned by the person living in it, but the shared areas are owned by everyone together
Cottage
A small house in the country
Log
Built with horizontal logs interlocked at the corners bu notching- log cabin generally refers to a smaller, mores rustic log house
Row houses
A house in a city that is joined to others mile it on either side
Farmhouse
The main house on a farm where the farmer lives
Duplex
A set of rooms for living in that are two floors of a building
Starter home
A small house or flat that is suitable for people who are buying their first home
Hamlet
Very small villa- aldea
Underground house
Below the surface of the earth, below ground.
Tents
A shelter made of a large sheet of canvas, nylon,etc. that is supported by poles and ropes fixed to the ground, and is used especially for camping
Houseboats
A boat that people can believe in, usually kept at a particular place on a river or canal
Shanties
A small house, built of pieces of wood, metal and cardboard, where very poor people live, especially on the edge of a big city
Huts
A small simple house made of grass mud lr logs
Shack( houses of poor people)
People made them with carton, boxes, plastic bags, plastics bottles,etc
Dormitory
A building with many bedrooms in a school where students live
Villa
A large and luxurious house where you spend your holiday
Facade
The front of a building, especially a large and the important one
Eaves
The lower edges of a roof that stick out over the walls
Gable
The upper part of the end wall of a building, between the two sloping sides of the roof, that is like a triangle in shape
