a statement that you can test, to see if it’s true, by analysing data

Global Positioning System
tells you exactly where on Earth you are, using radio waves from satellites
latitude
how far a place is north or south of the Equator, measured in degrees
longitude
how far a place is east or west of the Prime Meridian, measured in degrees
