A system where a lord owns property and Knights and serfs could live in the land if they were loyal to the lord
Serf
A peasant that lived on the lord’s land and worked for the lord. They were considered to be the lords property. Most people during the Middle Ages were serfs.

A large estate owned by a lord or knight
