Enumerated Powers
Powers specifically given to Congress in the Constitution
Federalism
A system in which power is divided between the national and state governments
Reserved Powers
All powers not specifically delegated by the Federal government are to be reserved or saved for the state governments
Concurrent Powers
powers that are shared by both the State and the federal government
Denied Powers
Treaties, printing money, taxing feds, treaties, voting for amendments, slavery amendments
Jurisdiction
the authority of a court to hear and decide cases within an area of the law or a geographical territory
Naturalization
the legal process of acquiring citizenship for someone who has not yet acquired it by birth
Bankruptcies
gives individual/corporation protection from their creditors and stops them from either permanently or temperamentally collecting a debt.

A court order that requires police to bring a prisoner to court to explain why they are holding the person in custody or under restraint

the body of law that is concerned with private disputes between two individuals or groups.
