critique
to evaluate; an evaluation; make judgement about something
synthesis
the combo of more than 1 item coherent whole; in writing, means putting more than 1 source together to make whole paper (argument, research, etc.)
argument/argumentation
discussion involving different points of view, taking subject and examining more than one side of the issue, writing a thesis on which is better, then proving it.
persuasion
writing in which the point is to convince someone to agree with one point of view about an issue, can be persuasive but doesn’t need both sides
thesis
