What is a wash?

It has an almost light-saber appearance due to its incredibly narrow beam angle, which ranges from 0 to 5 degrees.
What is a snap?
A very quick transition between different types of lighting.
What is a gobo?
A partial screen used infront of a spotlight to project a shape.
What is a fresnel?
A lantern that creates a soft beam of light. The lens produces a wider beam than a spotlight or key light, and is commonly used for back light and top light.
What is a follow spot?
A tight beam of light often used to highlight and follow a particular actor.
To LED or not to LED?
Use far less power than other lights.
Produce a lot less heat.
A lot less burnt out bulbs.
