Altruism
1: Unselfish interest in the welfare of others. 2: Behavior by an animal that is not beneficial to or may be harmful to itself but that benefits others of its species.
Arbitrary
- Not planned or chosen for a particular reason; not based on reason or evidence. 2. Based on or determined by individual discretion or preference rather than by necessity or the intrinsic nature of something. Random
Introspection
The act or process of self-examinaton, or inspection of one’s own thoughts and feelings; self-consciousness; reflection.
Malaise
1: A vague feeling of discomfort in the body, as at the onset of illness.
2: A general feeling of depression, lethargy, or unease.
Peremptory
Not allowing contradiction or refusal; absolute; decisive; conclusive; final.
Quail
To lose heart in the face of difficulty or danger; to shrink back with fear, to cower.
Sacrilegious
Of, relating to, or being a violation of something consecrated to God.
Solicitous
Manifesting or expressing care or concern.
Urbane
Polished and smooth in manner; polite, refined, and elegant.

Containing more words than necessary: wordy; also, impaired by wordiness.
