Fantasy
Fantasy literature is an imaginary universe, often without any locations, events, or people from the real world.
Science Fiction
Explores science and technology through film/books to determine the impact left on society
Dystopias
A fictional society that is in bad conditions and the characters normally face horrible things
Series format
A sequence of more than two books, usually by same author. serials, episodic series, and standalone stories are types of series format
Theme
Central idea or message
Primary Theme
Typically the most important lesson/message the author is trying to convey
Explicit theme
A direct message is sent to the readers. Typically is said in the book, narration, and is outwardly expressed
Implicit Theme
A theme that is suggested but not directly said
Nonfiction
Factual stories, timeline, events, and people. Provides information
Information text
A type of nonfiction that educates the reader of a certain topic.
Animal Fantasies
Stories whwere animals have human-like characteristics and are the central characters in quests, battles and other adventures
Magical realism
A narrative style that blends realistic and fantastical elements into a story
Time travel fantasies
a hypothetical concept that involves traveling through time to the past or future
Alternate worlds
A seperate, self-contained universe or reality that coexits with the real world
Quests
a journert in a story where the main character or protagonist seeks to achieve a goal or misson
