Identity
Individuality, personality, condition of being a specified person
Proportion
The size relationships of one part to the whole and of one part to another
Sighting
Technique for determining the proportional relationship of one part of an object to another
Foreshortening
A form of perspective in which the nearest parts of an object or person are enlarged. This makes the rest of the form look like it goes back into space
Realism
A style of art that shows places, events, people or objects as the eye sees them.
Expressionism
A style of art in which the main idea is to show a definite or strong mood or feeling.
Arbitrary Colors
Colors selected and used without reference to those found in reality.
Local Colors
Color that we commonly think of as part of the object, without noticing the effects of light or atmosphere
Exaggeration
Increasing of enlarging an object or figure or one of its parts to communicate ideas and feelings.
Distortion
Condition of being twisted or bent out of shape. In art, distortion is often used as an expressive technique.
