dialogue
conversation between two or more people as a feature of a book, play, or movie.
external conflict
a type of conflict that places characters at odds with forces outside themselves.
stage directions
instructions in a play for technical aspects of the production, such as lighting, sound, costume, scenery or props, and, most importantly, the movement of actors onstage.
director
a person who supervises the actors, camera crew, and other staff for a movie, play, television program, or similar production.
props
a portable object other than furniture or costumes used on the set of a play or movie.
tragic hero
the central character of a play, film, etc., depicted as a noble figure who experiences a tragic downfall.
protagonist
the main figure or one of the most prominent figures in a real situation.
tragic flaw
a flaw in character that brings about the downfall of the hero of a tragedy.
foil
prevent (something considered wrong or undesirable) from succeeding.
stage
the acting or theatrical profession.
drama
a play for theater, radio, or television.
tragedy
a play dealing with tragic events and having an unhappy ending, especially one concerning the downfall of the main character.
comedy
professional entertainment consisting of jokes and satirical sketches, intended to make an audience laugh.
internal conflict
a psychological struggle that takes place within a character, caused by their own emotions, fears, conflicting desires, or mental illnesses.
resolution
a firm decision to do or not to do something.
