Negligence
Failure to act as a reasonably prudent person would under similar circumstances; such conduct falls below the standards of behavior established by law for the protection of others against unreasonable risk of harm
Antibodies
Protein substances produced in the blood or tissues, in response to a specific antigen, that destroy or weaken the antigen; part of the immune system
Spore
A thick-walled, dormant form of bacteria that is very resistant to disinfection measures
Sterile
Free of all microorganisms, pathogenic and nonpathogenic
Transmission
The passage or spread of disease
Standard Precautions
A set of infection control practices used to prevent the transmission of diseases that can be acquired by contact with blood, body fluids, non intact skin and mucous membranes

One who has not reached adulthood; usually age 18 or 21, depending on the jurisdiction

Mediation
The process of facilitating conflicting parties to make an agreement, settlement, or compromise
Defendant
An individual or a business against whom a lawsuit is filed

Unwritten laws that come from judicial decisions based on societal traditions and customs
