What are isometric exercises?
Consists of stationary exercise during which there is no change in length of contracting muscles
Examples : holding weights , using elastic band or stationary ball
Describe passive exercise and when the VN would utilize it

Prevent muscle atrophy and disuse syndrome

Stop certain prescription medications
Wear light clothing and sturdy walking shoes
