- Tilt head back slightly
- Exhale and open mouth
- Potiosion inhaler one of three ways
* Held 1-2 inches from mouth this is prefferred
* Using a spacer
* With the inhaler between the lips - Start to inhale slowly and press down on the inhaler to release the medication
- Breathe in for 3-5 sec
- Hold your breath for 10 sec to allow the drug to reach deep into the lungs
- Repeat for the ordered number of puffs allowing 1 minute between each puff
