The VLRC is an independent body that is government funded, with the role of reviewing and recommending law reform in Victoria.

The Attorney General of Victoria.

- Since they are an independent body and do not have an agenda, they are completely independent and unbiased
- Power to make law on minor legal issues that have been delegated to them
- Enabled to seek community input and opinion on certain law reform ideas.

A
- They have limited resources and cannot investigate every area for law reform
- They are often limited by the attorney general and what he references
- Time consuming and costly to consult and investigate laws.
