  • deficiency diagnosed by increase in transketolase a w addition of TPP
  • beriberi - wet dry
  • wernicke korsakoff syndrome - chronic alcoholism. Wernicke - mental confusion, gait ataxia, nystagmus, ophthalmoplegia korsakoff - memory problems and hallucinations
