What are Vital Signs?
Vital signs are measurements of the body’s functions and checking for medical problems.
What is Body Temperature?
the temperature of a person.
What is Pulse Rate (heart rate)
measures the heart rate.
What is Respiration Rate (Breathing)
measures the number of breaths.
What is Blood Pressure?
the force of blood pushing against walls when heart beats.
Measure the amount of oxygen in the blood? (fifth vital sign)
Pulse Oximetry
Force of blood against arterial wall when the heart relaxes?
Systolic Pressure
Force of blood against arterial walls when the heart relaxes
Diastolic Pressure
When body temperature too high: Heat exhaustion (101-104) and heatstroke ( above 104)
Hyperthermia

Any sign that the body is not working properly

Fever
