When you have 1+ continous variable and 1 other type.

Typically for continuous and interval data.
When do you use a map?
Geographical data used to show locations.
When is scatter plots used?
Continous data to show correlation.
When is histogram used?
For continous and interval data to understand distributions.
When is box and whisker plot used?
For continous and interval or nominal data.
