Clearly defined physical and visual boundaries

Individual Work System
uses visually clear mastered tasks that child is able to do independently
Visual Structure
VIOC
Tells child HOW to complete the task (VISUAL INSTRUCTIONS, ORGANIZATION and CLARITY)
Visual Instructions
Visually tells the student the sequence to complete the task. (EX: Pictures, written, product samples, etc)
Visual Organization
How materials are organized (EX Left to Right, Top to Bottom, in containers)
Visual Clarity
Visually Highlights important information (EX color coding, use of a highlighter, outline, etc)
