A

where there is more than one interpretation of an image (eg necker cube)

A

when the features of an image are impossible in real 3D life (eg the weird 3D triangle)

What are Fictions?

A

where something that isn’t there appears or perception is distorted to give a false understanding of a situation (eg kanza triangle, ames room, moon illusion or ouchi illusion)

what are the current explanantions for the ouchi illusions?

A

Peripheral drift in our focus causes the image to appear as if it was moving. Even when fixated our eyes make very small random movements, these are compensated for at the fovea, but not at the periphery.
