Define a brayer
A hand tool used in print making to rub out ink
Define slip
A mixture of clay and water used to stick clay pieces together after they have been scored
Define scored
Scratching a piece of clay so it can grip together
Define analogous colour scheme:
Colours found side by side on the colour wheel (eg: red, orange yellow)
Define complementary colour scheme:
Colours that are opposite than each other on the colour wheel (such as red and green)
Define tint:
A variety of colour that is lighter. Add white to make it lighter
Define shade:
Adding black to a colour to make it darker
Define Value:
The lightness or darkness of a coulour
What is the group of seven?
A group created in the 1920s who set out to paint Canadian landscape in a distinctive Canadian style that they created
What are Inuit prints?
A process invented in cape dorst. Started in the 1950s. Used stone. Animals are the most common subject matter

Shamans mask. Respect a spirit, usually an animal
