Line
A line is a path made by a moving point through space.
Shape
A shape is a closed line. Shapes are 2D and have only width and length.
Colour
Colour is seen by the way that light reflects off a surface.
Texture
Texture describes surface quality. Artists use actual texture (how things actually feel) and implied texture (how things look like they feel).
Tone
Tone is how light or dark a colour is. This is also known as value.
Form
Forms are 3D and have a width, length and depth.
Space
Space in a work of art refers to a feeling of depth or three dimensions. It can also refer to the artist’s use of the area within the picture plane.

Red, Yellow, Blue
What are the secondary colours?
Orange, Purple, Green
What are the tertiary colours?
Amber, Teal, Magenta, Purple, Chartreuse, Vermillion

Green, Blue, Purple
What are the warm colours
Red, Orange, Yellow
