- ciliary muscles for accommodation
- Fovea for acuity
- Skeletal muscle and motor movement for depth perception
What visual reflexes are babies born with?
- papillary contraction to bright light
- blink
What are the tear producing glands? When do they start to function?
Lacrimal Glands
-don’t function until between 2-4 weeks of age
How far away can a new born focus?
20 cm
How does depth perception improve? When?
With crawling (6-9 months)
