Q

What does opaque mean

A

Doesn’t transmit any light
(All wavelengths of light are either absorbed or reflected)

Q

What do only translucent objects do

A

Only transmit some of the light
The proportion of the light they transmit determines how well we can see through

7
Q

What determines the colour of translucent objects?

A

Which wavelengths are transmitted the most (other wavelengths are being absorbed)

Q

How do you colour filters works?

A

Filter out particular colours so only certain wavelengths can pass through
(Only transmit certain wavelengths they absorb the rest)

How does a primary colour filter work?

A

Only allows one of the three primary colours to be transmitted

Q

How do filters that Aren’t for primary colours work?

A

They let both the wavelength of the same colour as the filter through
as well as primary colours that can be added together to make that colour
