Q

What does Cytosine pair with?

25
What is a virus?
Non-living substances that can reproduce in a living host cell ( genetic information in capsid)
26
What are the steps of Lytic cycle?
1. Attachment- virus attatches itself to host cell 2. Entry- genetic material injects into host cell 3. Replication- Virus overtakes cells metabolism making protein and nucleic acid by host organelles 4. Assembly- Proteins and nucleic acid assemble new virus 5. Release- Virus enzymes burst cell so virus release and infects more
27
What are the steps of Lysogenic cycle?
1. Attatchement- virus attatches itself to host cell 2- Entry- Genetic information injects into host cell. 3. Integration- Viral DNA integrates into the host cells genome 4. Lysogenic reproduction- Host cells replicate, virale DNA and host cells DNA copied ( daughter cells=new virus) 5. Induction- Infected cells exposed to certain enviromental conditions. DNA activates and enters lyctic cycle. 6. Replication- Virus overtakes cells metabolism creating protein and nucleic acids by cells organelles. 7. Assembly- Proteins and nucleic acids assemble a new virus 8. Release- Virus enzymes burt cell so virus release and infects more.
