No resistance: proguanil + chloroquine
Resistance: Melfoquine or Malarone
Rx:
Benign: Chloroquine then Promaquine
Falciparum: Riamet or Malarone
Giardia
Tinidazole
Pneumocystitis pneumonia (fungal)
Co-trimoxazole IV
Or Pentamidine IVI
Cryptococcal meningitis (fungal)
Amphotericin B + Flucytosine 2 weeks
Then fluconazole 6m
Candida:
Oral
Thrush
Systemic
Oral: Nystatin drops
Thrush: Clotrimazole
Systemic: Amphotericin B or Voriconazole
Tinea infections:
Skin
Scalp
Nails
Skin: Terbinafine or topical Ketoconazole/Miconazole
Scalp: Griseofluvin or Terbinafine
Naile: terbinafine
Aspergillus fungal infection
Amphotericin B
