- Fecal oral
- Vaccine available
- Give HAV immune globulin within 2 weeks of exposure
- Diagnostics: HAV antibodies (anti HAV)
- IgM - current
- IgG - Immune
- Not chronic
- TX: rest and support

Hep B
A
- Blood
- Give HBV immune globulin (HBIG) within 24 hrs of exposure
- Diag: HBV surface antigen (HBsAg) = infection
- HBV antibody (antiHBs) = recovery immune - Can be chronic
- TX:
- Acute = rest and support
- Chronic = Antivirals

- Blood
- No vaccine
- No post exposure immune globulin
- Diag: Antibody (Anti-HCV) = + 4 wks into infection
- Can be chronic
- TX: Acute = rest & support
- Chronic = Antivirals

- No vaccine = give Hep B vaccine
- Diag: HDV antigen = early infection
- HDV antibody = past or present
- Can be chronic
- TX: Antivirals

- Fecal-oral
- No vaccine

- Diag: HEV antibody
- IgM & IgG
- No chronic form
- TX: Rest/support
