A

The lady of the house hold (wife) had to see to it that the food lasted during the winter, she would make most if the food eg:butter, cheese, dried and smoked meat and fish for storage,she was expected to know about herb for making medicine and to care for the sick and wounded , farm animals were her responsiblity, and when the husband went trading, hunting or “Viking” she would run the farm in his absence, in rich families the wife would have servants and slaves to help her
