Ethnicity and victimisation
Racist victimisation occurs when an individual selected as target because of race/ethnicity/religion.
E.g. Stefan Lawrence in 1993 and subsequent inquiry into The handling of police investigation.
Extent + risk of victimisation
Police recorded 61,000 racist incidents. British crime survey 184,000 racially motivated incidents in 2006/7.

Response to victimisation
Situational crime prevention e.g. fireproof doors/organised self defence campaigns aimed at physically defending neighbourhoods from racist attacks
