What is the electoral college for the election of Vice-President?
It consists of both elected and nominated members of the Parliament (in the case of the president, only elected members).

What is the process for the removal of the Vice-president?
A formal impeachment is not required for the vice president’s removal.
The Vice president can be removed by a resolution of Rajya Sabha passed by an absolute majority of its member and agreed by the Lok Sabha with a simple majority.
What happens when both the President’s and Vice-President’s offices fall vacant? (Article 65(1))
If any vacancy occurs in the office of the president, the vice president acts as president until a new president is elected and enters his office.
If both offices of President and Vice President falls vacant by reason of death, resignation, removal etc. The Chief Justice of India or in his absence the senior-most judge of Supreme Court acts as the President.
What happens to the office of the Vice-President when he discharges his duty as the President? (Articles 91 & 97)
When the vice president acts as a president, and the deputy chairman of Rajya Sabha acts as its chairman.
When the vice president access president, he gets the emoluments of the President and will not be entitled to the salary or emoluments of the vice president for the period.
What are the functions of the vice president?
- He acts as the ex-officio Chairman of Rajya Sabha. In this capacity, his powers and functions are similar to those of the Speaker of Lok Sabha.
- He acts as President when a vacancy occurs in the office of the President due to his resignation, impeachment, death or otherwise. He can act as President only for a maximum period of six months within which a new President has to be elected.
