Way of Salvation
Prevenient Grace
God has extended grace to us before we know we need it
Justifying grace
Accounted righteous before God only by Faith in Jesus Christ
Regeneration
Or New birth - the renewal of persons in righteousness through Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Spirit whereby we are made partakers of the divine nature.
We become reconciled to God.
Initial Sanctification
Our souls are redirected back to the image of God, the imago Dei and we begin a new journey toward achieving the goal of entire sanctification
Entire sanctification
We have turned our lives over so completely that the grace of God resides fully in our souls.
“A state of perfect love, righteousness and holiness”
Maybe received both gradually and instantaneously.
Grace
free and unmerited forgiveness for sin that transforms us into his image;
The life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ is that grace incarnated
Means of grace
Worship Hear or Proclaim Scripture/word Holy Communion Prayer Study scripture Fasting or abstinence
