CPV Symptoms

Caine Parvovirus CPV
A highly contagious disease caused by canine parvovirus type 2 CPV-2 commonly called Parvo. Spreader by direct contact with feces or virus contained surfaces.
CAV Symptoms
Decreased appetite
Appear depressed
Mild fever
Cloudiness in one or both corners of eyes
Respiratory signs, nasal discharge, cough.
Canine Adenovirus CAV
Inflammation of the liver ICH infectious Caine hepatitis a viral infection, transmitted by direct contact with infected materials.
Leptospirosis Symptoms
Loss of appetite
Vomiting
Lethargy
Abdominal pain
Diarrhea
Dehydration
Yellowing of the skin
Rabies
Fatal disease caused by infection with rabies virus, transmitted when one infected animal bites another. Incubation period is typically two weeks to 4 months.
Rabies Symptom
Licking or biting the wound where exposure occurred
Excessive drooling
Fever
Difficulty swallowing
Leptospirosis
A disease caused by bacteria transited in the urine spread in infected animals. Bacteria that causes leptospirosis can be found in contained water or soil.

Distemper
Adenovirus
Parvovirus
Parainfluenza
Rabies
Borrelia (Lyme disease)
Is caused by the spirochete, transmitted to dogs through the bite go an infected tick. Dogs infected can take 2 to 5 months before showing symptoms.
What is the good rule of thumb when considering vaccines?
When in doubt vaccinate, when vaccines are overdue or unknown, consider the benefits of vaccinating outweigh the risks in most cases.
What should be added to the core vaccines for dogs?
Core for an individual patient means they get the vaccines required for all dogs plus vaccines required on the dogs lifestyle and risk factors.

Caine Distemper virus CDV
Contagious and serious disease caused by distemper virus. Virus attacks respiratory, gastriontenial, and nervous systems of dogs. Infected through airborne exposure, sneezing, coughing, or barking with bodily fluids.
