What is a dog’s tendency to do when chased? What does a cat do when it escapes?
Dogs will run faster when chased. Cats tend to find a hiding place.

should a small dog be passed if being held by the owner?
Medium size dog put one arm around the chest, the other arm in front or behind the rear legs

What is the limitation of the gauze muzzle?
Gauze muzzles can be easily removed by dogs – so must be tied tightly, therefore limiting panting;
can’t observe tongue color

Breathing patterns and color of mucous membranes

After a lead is placed on a horse, what two things should be avoided?
Do not wrap lead around hand, or allow it to drag on the ground
How can stocks be used in equine restraint?
Allow for procedures – rectal/vaginal exam, restrict lateral movement, need to be careful!
