Vessels Flashcards
Radial artery
Between BR & FCR
Into hand between FCR & APL/EPB
Superficial palm branch (minor supply, ulnar a. major)
Passes between 2 heads of 1st dorsal interosseous to deep palmar branch
Ulnar artery
Under FCU
Lateral u ulnar nerve at wrist
Guyon´s canal
Lies on transverse carpal lig
Supplemental arteries at wrist lvl
Anterior interosseous artery Post interosseous artery Median artery (occasionally)
Digital arteries volar or dorsal?
Palm: arteries volar to nervers
Digits Arteries dorsal to nerves, both solar to Clelands lig.’
Superficial arch
Fr. Ulnar a and little from superficial radial branch
80% have a complete arch with all digital arteries
Deep to palmar fascia
Deep arterial arch of hand
Deep to flexor tendons Proximal to superficial arch MC base level Princeps Pollicis (between 1st dorsal interosseous and adductor p) Radial index finger Branches to 3 common digital arteries
Digital artery dominance
Closer to midline:
dig 5,4 radial
dig 1,2,3 ulnar
Less obvious centrally
