Action verbs
Action verbs tell what action someone or some thing is performing. Examples: See, play, run, eat, shout, play
Verbs must match the subject
Singular: I play. You play. he plays.
Plural: We play. You play. They play.
Common nouns
A general person place or thing
Nonspecific
Not capitalized
Examples: Shoes, person, grass, city.
Proper nouns
A specific person place or thing
capitalized
examples:  Nikes, Andrew, Seattle.
Concrete nouns
A noun that you can see here smell or taste
Tangible
Examples: Sheep, pencil, car.
Abstract nouns
A noun you cannot see here smell or taste
Examples: Love, happiness, anger.
Singular nouns
A noun is that named one person place or thing
Examples: Natasha, chair, goose.
Plural nouns
A noun that names more than one person place or thing
Examples: Teachers, chairs, geese.
