Preposition
A preposition is a word or group of words used before a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to show direction, time, place or location
The author comments ON social expectations.
The book was BENEATH the table.
He was told too meet AT midnight.
Main verb
The primary action or state of being
The author ARGUGES against the traditional interpretation.
Auxiliary verbs
These include verbs like be, have, and do, which help form tenses, aspects, or voices of the main verb. They do not express necessity on their own.
Example: They HAVE eaten. (The verb ‘have’ helps form the present perfect tense)
Modal verbs
These are a specific type of auxiliary verb that express attitudes such as necessity, possibility, ability, or permission.
Example: She CAN dance. (The verb ‘can’ expresses ability.)
Can, could, will would, shall, shoud etc
A modal verb and a modal auxiliary verb are the same. They both express possibility, permission, ability or permission. Modal auxiliary is just a more technical term.
