drag
to move something by pulling it along a surface, usually the ground
Example: Pick the chair up instead of dragging it behind you!
to make someone go somewhere they do not want to go
Example: She had to drag her kids away from the toys.
peek
to look, especially for a short time or while trying to avoid being seen
Example: Close your eyes. Don’t peek. I’ve got a surprise for you.
dispatch
to send something, especially goods or a message, somewhere for a particular purpose
Example: Two loads of cloth were dispatched to the factory on 12 Decembe
dart
to move quickly or suddenly
Example: I darted behind the sofa and hid
blast
to explode or destroy something or someone with explosives, or to break through or hit something with a similar, very strong force
example: Their latest album blasted (its way) up the charts (= moved very quickly because of its popularity).
fetch
to go to another place to get something or someone and bring it, him, or her back
Example: I have to fetch my mother from the station

Raise
to lift something to a higher position
Example: Would all those in favour please raise their hands?
Sprain
to cause an injury to a joint (= a place where two bones are connected) by a sudden movement
Example: She sprained her ankle playing squash.
tow
to pull a car, boat, etc. along, fastened behind another vehicle or boat
Example: You shouldn’t drive fast when your car is towing a caravan.
hire
to pay to use something for a short period
Example: How much would it cost to hire a car for the weekend
wreck
to destroy something completely
Example: The explosion wrecked several cars.
