Parallelism
Parts of a sentence must be structurally and logically similar. Verbs ending with -ing and -ing.
Lists must have the same marker words to be parallel.
Parallelism - Limitations
Sometimes the meaning of the sentence requires non-parallelism - past, present, and future, for instance.
Gerunds - These are words that can be used as nouns or verbs - Aching, numbness, tingling, etc.
Semi-Colon
Connects two independent clauses. Do NOT use connecting words except for “; however, “
Relative Pronouns (Who, Whom, Whose)
Change to He, Him, His
Pronouns
Singular: It, Its
Plural: They, Them, Their

These all come AFTER checking for grammatical errors
Sub-Lists
If there is a sub list with commas, the main list used semi-colons instead of commas for major items in primary list
Single vs. Plural Verbs
Single verbs typically have an “s” after them, while plural verbs typically do not
