How to form the Imperfait?

A

Drop the -ons ending from the present indicative Nous form of the verb and adding the imperfect endings.

A

Avoir Present Endings.

Add these endings directly onto the infinitive.
For -re verbs, minus final -e

(Hint: The endings for the future are present tense “avoir” except for nous and vous (-ons and -ez)
