venous insufficiency clinical manifestations
a. Edema
b. Pain, aching
c. Hyperpigmentation
d. Skin atrophy
e. Stasis dermatitis
f. Venous ulcers
Venous insufficiency nursing management
Major goals include restoration of skin integrity, improved physical mobility, adequate nutrition, and absence of complications
-Avoid long periods of standing or sitting
-Regular exercise (walking)
-Maintain appropriate BMI
-Position legs
-Compression therapy
-Practice good skin hygiene
-Improved diet for wound healing
