What is the VDRS scheme?
A
Vehicle defect rectification scheme.
It enables people stopped for construction and use offences to fix the defect within 14 days. By doing so the person avoids prosecution for the offence

Which vehicles can the VDRS scheme be applied to?
A
It can only be applied to vehicles which can be tested or checked at an MOT testing station for light vehicle.
Includes:
Motor cars, motor cycles and moped, small goods vehicles not exceeding 3.5 tonnes loaded or 1525kg unladen and any trailer being lawfully towed by one the mention vehicles
